About Us
In 2006 Mike and Jennifer Griffin’s daughter, Natalie, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. The nature of Type 1 Diabetes, patients and caregivers making life and death decisions everyday with little medical oversight, makes this community very close knit. From the beginning, they were in contact with the Children’s Diabetes Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, American Diabetes Association, and eventually many others.
In 2014 their son, Jeremy, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Lymphoblastic Lymphoma, a large tumor in his chest that became life threatening. Again, they found themselves immersed in a new type of care, in the hospital and home. And again, they found a community of other families ready and willing to help them out and support them through the Shining Stars Foundation, Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children Foundation and the Make A Wish Foundation.
Eventually all things become a new “normal” and they found themselves wanting to give back to those who gave so much to them. The Griffin family began using their business resources and personal time to raise funds, raise awareness and help further the cause for these and other organizations.
By focusing on creative and innovative ideas, they have developed a program for fundraising travel groups. Allowing people to combine their love of travel with their support of an organization close to their own hearts.
